Quick tips for tender, flavorful steak using simple seasonings and air frying techniques.

# Ingredients Needed:

→ Steak

01 - 1 (1-inch thick) Ribeye, New York Strip, or Sirloin steak, approximately 10-12 ounces

→ Seasoning

02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
04 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
05 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
07 - 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
08 - 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Remove the steak from the refrigerator and allow it to rest at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes to ensure even cooking.
02 - Thoroughly pat the steak dry on all sides using paper towels to eliminate moisture for a better sear.
03 - In a small bowl, combine kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and dried thyme. Mix thoroughly.
04 - Drizzle olive oil evenly over both sides of the steak to help the seasoning adhere and promote browning.
05 - Generously rub the seasoning mixture all over the steak, covering the top, bottom, and edges.
06 - Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for at least 5 minutes to reach optimal cooking temperature.
07 - Place the seasoned steak in the basket in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd to allow proper air circulation.
08 - Cook the steak at 400°F, flipping halfway through the cooking time, according to desired doneness: Rare 6-8 minutes, Medium-Rare 8-10 minutes, Medium 10-12 minutes, Medium-Well 12-14 minutes, Well-Done 14-16 minutes.
09 - Use a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the steak to verify doneness: Rare 125-130°F, Medium-Rare 130-135°F, Medium 135-145°F, Medium-Well 145-155°F, Well-Done 155°F and above.
10 - During the last minute of cooking, place a pat of butter on top of the steak for added richness, allowing it to melt.
11 - Remove the steak from the air fryer and tent loosely with foil. Rest for 5 to 10 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
12 - Slice the steak against the grain and serve immediately with preferred accompaniments.
