01 -
Using a food processor or a rolling pin in a sealed plastic bag, finely crush the Oreo cookies until they reach a crumbly consistency.
02 -
In a large bowl, thoroughly mix the crushed cookies with softened cream cheese and peppermint extract until evenly combined.
03 -
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a small cookie scoop, portion out the mixture and roll between your palms to form smooth, uniform balls. Arrange them on the prepared sheet.
04 -
Place the tray in the freezer and let the balls firm up for 30 minutes.
05 -
Melt white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring between, until completely smooth.
06 -
Remove the chilled balls from the freezer. Using a fork, dip each ball into the melted white chocolate, allowing excess coating to drip off. Return to the parchment paper and immediately sprinkle with crushed candy canes if using.
07 -
Refrigerate the coated balls for at least 15 minutes until the white chocolate hardens, then serve.
