In the prepared baking dish, combine diced potatoes, yellow onion, minced garlic, crumbled bacon, mayonnaise, shredded cheddar, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir thoroughly to blend.

Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 60 minutes or until potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
